Frequently Asked Question

1) Will the Gravity Cue take long to get used to?
The Gravity Cue will initially feel like no other cue that you have ever held. You will no doubt feel the cue pulling against your hand and wrist but it is this feedback that is encouraging you to conform to exactly what the cue wants you to do. The fact that the Gravity Cue is constantly attempting to locate in the same predetermined position means that you are working with a cue with an additional reference point resulting in a quick acting conformity between the player and the cue. From there on, the more you work with the Gravity Cue the closer you get to becoming like one with it.
2) Can I have the Flat/Chamfer anywhere or does it have to be located on the top side?
The standard Gravity Cue always has the chamfer on the top side; however a tailored/bespoke made Gravity Cue, the chamfer can be located in any position.
3) Is the Gravity Cue technology legal?
The Gravity Cue has passed all testing and is legal because it conforms to the accepted shape and form of a conventional cue. The outline/profile of a standard cue has been maintained but the Patented weighting system has been completely re-configured both internally and externally to achieve such unique characteristics.
4) Is the Gravity Cue cheating?
Absolutely not! All things evolve through time. Anything that improves the player and their enjoyment of the game within the various cue sports should only be seen as a step forward. The Gravity Cue works on sound accepted laws of inertia and is designed to work with the player. The Gravity Cue still of course requires the players own input to come together with it.
5) What standard of player gets help from the Gravity Cue?
All levels of player will benefit from the Gravity Cue but it is the player who excepts his/her technical shortfalls who benefits the most. This is not always the better player but the player who is more receptive to what the Gravity Cue is guiding them towards.
6) What happens if I hold the Gravity Cue in the wrong place?
Holding of the cue in the wrong location around its axis makes one side of the cue feel heavy to the player and will pull against your line. This is the Gravity Cue’s “Active Response System” reminding the player that as with every other object; you can use weight/resistance either for or against you. It is also reminding the player that they are holding the Gravity Cue too tightly otherwise the Gravity Cue would have slipped into place in the hand in the first place.
7) What quality of workmanship will be in the GravityCue
The GravityCue will be made by a few select licensed manufactures to start with and all vary in cost and production, you can then choose to suit your budget. We can however guarantee the best quality workmanship will go into that cue to match the end product price. We intend releasing a budget cue range in the very near future.
8) Can I get a Gravity Cue made for me by my favourite cue maker?
The Gravity Cue’s strong predetermined bias and general characteristics carry a legally bound global patent protection. However, providing the cue maker has the required licensing agreement with the Gravity Cue Company then Yes.
9) Can I get my existing cue converted in to a Gravity Cue by a licensed maker of the Gravity Cue.
No. The construction of a Gravity Cue is extremely specific and a cue can only accommodate the technology when it has been initially designed to do so.

11) How does the technology affect the weight of the GravityCue.
For a couple of reasons the recommended weight of a Gravity Cue should be slightly heavier than what you would normally use. Firstly by having the cue slightly heavier you generally get even more of the cues unique pulling power and secondly because the Gravity Cue is so much more stable than a standard cue in anything like the playing position it carries its weight so much lighter to the user. For example a 19.5oz Gravity Cue feels more like a standard 18.5oz cue with the same or similar balance point.
12) I can understand how the Gravity Cue can assists the player to help cut out twisting of the wrist which in itself is a form of lateral movement, but how does the cue resist “out and out” lateral movement to a greater extent to that of a standard cue with the equivocal weight, length and balance point.
The Gravity Cue carries more “out and out” lateral resistance than a standard cue due to its extremely low centre of gravity. Basic laws of physics and to be more specific the high levels of inertia created by the Gravity Cues construction mean the effort required by the player to send the cue off line to the same extent as a standard cue needs to be greater with a Gravity Cue. Quite simply, the combination of both rotational and lateral resistance equals a straighter, smoother more powerful, consistent cue action.
13) Is there a 9ball Gravity cue
We are currently in the final development stages with some of the biggest 9ball cue makers in the world. Further announcements to follow.

Frequently Asked Question

1) I am a consistent century break maker and I think that I cue straight on pretty much all of my shots, so how will the 360 PureCue Action Trainer help improve me?
What you will discover when you attempt to play with the 360 PureCue Action Trainer for the first time is that there is a huge difference between what you considered to be a straight cue action in comparison to the level of cueing that you are challenged to produce with the 360 PureCue Action Trainer. In the case of a high scorer like yourself who is obviously already very proficient, mastering the 360 PureCue Action Trainer can mean the difference of being just good, or great.
2) I had a try of my friends 360 PureCue Action Trainer and I was pressing and bending the cue downwards on every shot, so my question is that if I am only pressing down in a straight line, why is that not cueing straight?
The simple fact is that it is pretty much impossible for any player to press down in a perfectly straight line; we are just not designed to function in that way in anything like the playing position. For this reason alone you will no doubt also be pressing sideways too. Only when you can execute a reasonably wide range of shots with the 360 PureCue Action Trainer without interfering with the cue line can you be sure that you have succeeded in re-educating the way that you function with what is essentially the tool of the trade. The way that you describe your initial experience with the 360 PureCue Action Trainer also indicates that the transition in your action is out of sync with your natural timing. When a player’s cue action is out of sync they automatically bring the wrong muscles into play in the wrong way. By challenging yourself to conquer the 360 PureCue Action Trainer you will already be half way there.
3) I have recently purchased my 360 PureCue Action Trainer and when I cue up with it my chest is bending the cue. I have always cued on my chest and used it as a guide as well as a source of reassurance. In virtually all of the coaching literature that I have ever read states that cueing on your chest is a good thing, so where do I go from here?
I would personally recommend that any player when possible, play with the cue in contact with the chest but there is a big difference between functioning with the cue brushing along your chest as opposed to using the chest as a crutch, however the fact that your chest is bending the cue is confirmation enough that the way you are positioning your body around the cue line is incorrect for you and is only serving to interfere with the potential of you acquiring your perfect cue action. I can assure you that continued practice with the 360 PureCue Action Trainer will result in you forming a much improved relationship between you and your cue.
4) I have a tendency to dip the tip end of the cue at the last second which at best results in inconsistencies in my control of the cue ball and at worst a miss cue. Will the 360 PureCue Action Trainer help me to finally put this right?
Whether you dip or scoop the 360 PureCue Action Trainer will train this out of your game. The 360 PureCue Action Trainer practically forces you to get on and stay on the correct plain, resulting in a cue action with only very subtle perpetual changes in angle of attack.
5) I have a terrible habit of sending my cue off line with my cue arm. Will the 360 PureCue Action Trainer stop this?
Yes it most definitely will and the reason for this is that the cue arm will only respond in accordance with the way that the fingers, hand and wrist function and as the 360 PureCue Action Trainer teaches all of these components to work together, the arm automatically complies and co-ordinates with them. The even better news is that this stage is only the beginning of a process that can sees not only the arm falling into line with the way that the hand functions but the whole body, the result of which being an almost seamless collaboration of yourself and the cue.
6) I don’t twist my wrist and I keep my cue on my chest, doesn’t that mean that I must be cueing as straight as I can?
For a number of reasons you are almost certainly not cueing as straight as you can be. Firstly, out of the thousands of players of varying skill levels that I have ever coached, I have yet to meet one player who initially didn’t twist their wrist on most occasions to some extent. Secondly, keeping the cue on the chest (in the correct manner) is generally a good thing; however it is still only one element of a bigger picture. There are so many other hidden factors that contribute to inaccuracies like turning of the wrist; (not to be confused with twisting of the wrist). Turning of the wrist is mechanically directly responsible for inaccuracies in the upper arm, this is why the 360 PureCue Action Trainer is so effective because it does exactly as its name suggests; it trains out any flaw in the action through every axis.
